Submitted by Mitzi Argyle

The 2023 KAWSE Recognition Ceremony will take place Tuesday, Sept. 19, in the K-State Student Union Ballroom. An informal mixer will begin at 3:30 p.m. with the ceremony beginning at 3:45 p.m.

In this ceremony, the K-State Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering, or KAWSE, will recognize the academic and professional achievements of current K-State women and gender-expansive faculty and staff, meaning those who identify as women — trans or cis — intersex, nonbinary, gender fluid, two-spirit, māhū, or other gender diverse colleagues. The academic achievements to be recognized include earning tenure and promotion, being promoted to full professor, or winning a universitywide award.

On the day of the event, please check in at the welcome table to receive your name tag and program.
