Advisor Forum presents October Charlie Award
The K-State Advisor Forum announces that Nathan Nelson, academic advisor and professor in the department of agronomy, has been selected for the October Charlie Award.
Nelson was nominated for this award by one of his advisees for his willingness to guide and mentor his students in their research.
His nominator wrote, "Dr. Nelson has been a great advisor throughout my undergrad and now graduate terms here at K-State. He is always willing to help guide me through difficult research questions and dive into the research with me instead of sending me adrift on my own. He prompts me to look at the problem from every angle preparing me for a professional career. Overall, I couldn't think of a better advisor."
Raj Khosla, department head of agronomy, added, "I know firsthand that Dr. Nelson takes student advising quite seriously. He is truly a dedicated faculty member in our department who champions the needs and success of our students. Congratulations to Dr. Nelson — he is well deserving of this recognition."
The K-State Advisor Forum Committee thanks Nelson for the work he has done and congratulates him on this award.
