Listen in on Sunderland Foundation Innovation Lab presentation at online conference
Jeff Sheldon, director of the Sunderland Foundation Innovation Lab, along with Carol Sevin, academic services librarian, will give a talk at the Florida Libraries Online Conference at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, June 13.
Their presentation, titled "Fostering Collaboration and Innovation in Library Makerspaces," will describe decision-making processes for innovation spaces and how community involvement shaped the lab's offerings. Sheldon and Sevin will also discuss the future of communal spaces and their role in libraries. The free conference will offer several sessions on community engagement with libraries.
This event also marks the third anniversary of the Sunderland Foundation Innovation Lab, whose staff work to inspire creativity, facilitate learning and spark joy among campus and community visitors. The lab currently offers two floors' worth of technology and innovative spaces.
