Rosanna Carvalho promoted to director of project management

The Division of Facilities announces that Rosanna Carvalho has been promoted to the director of project management.
Carvalho joined Kansas State University in 2019 after spending 14 years at Washburn University and eight years in architectural practice. She is a licensed architect with 27 years of experience in the architecture, engineering and construction industries, having graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Architecture degree.
At K-State, Carvalho has served in various leadership roles, including interim director of campus planning and project management/university architect and interim assistant vice president of planning, design and construction/university architect. She has demonstrated her expertise by leading significant projects on campus, such as the new Agronomy Research and Innovation Center, Bilbrey Family Event Center, Derby Dining Center renovations, Mosier Hall second-floor Bio-Medical Laboratories renovation, and the upcoming Small Animal Surgical Suites addition/renovation, along with several projects at Anderson Hall and across campus.
"Rosanna's expertise and leadership insight will be key in providing consistency and mentorship of our team as we scale up to respond to the infrastructure needs of K-State's Next-Gen strategic plan and Campus Master Plan and in our pursuit of continuous improvement and operational excellence," said Casey Lauer, associate vice president for facilities.
