Michael Krush appointed as Daniel D. Burke chair for exceptional faculty
Michael Krush, professor of marketing and associate director of the National Strategic Selling Institute, or NSSI, has been named the Daniel D. Burke chair for exceptional faculty in the College of Business Administration, a faculty of distinction endowed chair.
"Dr. Krush's selection as the prestigious Burke chair is a testament to his exceptional contributions to his discipline, impressive and highly respected scholarship, and unwavering dedication to business students," said Edgerly Family Dean of the College of Business Administration Kevin Gwinner. "Dr. Krush embodies excellence and innovation both in and out of the classroom. By putting his students first, he creates unique opportunities that prepare business students for success as interns and new hires. Dr. Krush's exceptional achievements are well deserving of the recognition that this chair provides."
Krush came to the College of Business Administration as an associate professor in 2018, after starting his career at St. Cloud State University and North Dakota State University. In August 2023 he was promoted to professor in the department of marketing and was also named the associate director of the NSSI.
In 2020 he received the K-State Global Campus Excellence in Online Teaching Award, and in 2022 he received Commerce Bank and W.T. Kemper Foundation Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award. Both are university-level awards.
Krush holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa and earned a doctorate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He currently sits on the editorial board for the Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice.
"We are grateful to the Burke family for the investment they have made in the college to help us further our college's pursuit of academic excellence by establishing this chair in honor of Daniel D. Burke," said Gwinner.
