Craig B. Parker lectures in Valencia, Spain

Craig B. Parker, associate professor of music history, presented his paper, "Sousa's Band in the South Pacific," at the 27th International Society for Research and Promotion of Wind Music in Valencia, Spain, on July 15.
The conference was held at the Conservatori Superior de Música "Joaquín Rodrigo" de Valencia, the largest music school in Spain.
Seventy-three scholars from 14 countries in Asia, Europe, North America and South America delivered their research on a variety of wind music topics ranging from the 16th through the 21st centuries at this biennial conference.
