Academic advisor training updates
The Academic and Career Engagement unit and advisor training administrator share resources and programs designed to provide a robust onboarding experience for new academic advisors.
Training materials and programs are available to view on the newly developed website for academic advisors.
The website serves as a hub for new and existing advisors to access onboarding documents, training programs, resource guides and upcoming events. Both internal and external opportunities will be added to the training and development calendar as they are developed. Be on the lookout for announcements regarding future events.
All programs and resources are developed with the aim to achieve the K-State Student Success Playbook mission to standardize advising technology and protocols to deliver data-informed, coordinated, and proactive advising to students across K-State.
As new staff are hired with advising duties in your college/department, please contact the advisor training administrator, Ashley Blake at ablake@k-state.edu, so they can be added to the advisor onboarding workshop and receive helpful documents to get started.
