Tutoring Services moves to Hale Library
The K-State Academic Achievement Center Tutoring Services will relocate this fall from Holtz Hall to Hale Library.
While the new space on the second floor of Hale Library is being completed, tutoring will occur on the first floor. This move will provide increased visibility for Tutoring Services by relocating to a space with increased student traffic and increased synergy with students using Hale Library to study.
"I'm excited about how this move will introduce more students to a critical resource for their academic success," said Thomas Lane, vice president for academic success and student affairs. "Hale Library has long been the home to Athletics tutoring, so this relocation creates a space for centralized tutoring services."
AAC Tutoring Services offers free tutoring to all students taking courses at K-State. Highly trained peer tutors facilitate the learning process instead of providing answers. Tutoring focuses on the success of the learning process as a whole, not just the end result. Content Tutoring connects students to a peer tutor who has previously succeeded in the course and is there to help them succeed. A wide range of courses are available to select from, either through scheduled appointments or drop-in shifts. Success Skills Tutoring helps students build capacity for success by focusing on the building blocks essential to academic achievement.
