Newly hired faculty members invited to join New Faculty Institute
New faculty members who are in their first, second or third years at K-State are invited to join the New Faculty Institute.
The New Faculty Institute is a universitywide program hosted by the Teaching and Learning Center to introduce newly hired faculty to K-State's missions of teaching, research and service. The institute provides networking and professional development opportunities to assist new faculty in becoming successful educators and researchers at K-State.
Join us for a Welcome to K-State event today, Wednesday, Aug. 28, to introduce you to other new K-State faculty, the campus and the community. The event is a two-part come-and-go event:
- Part one: Manhattan campus tour at 4 p.m. — Join a tour of campus provided by the Office of Recruitment and Admissions. The tour will start at the K-State Berney Family Welcome Center and will finish up at the K-State Student Union so you can join us for part two.
- Part two: Ice cream social in the Bluemont Room of the K-State Union, 4:30-5:30 p.m. — This casual social is focused on building our community and sharing experiences. Call Hall ice cream and refreshing drinks will be provided for your enjoyment. K-State guests from various departments will also be there to get to know you and answer questions.
- An RSVP is appreciated but not required
See the full schedule of events for fall 2024 on the New Faculty Institute events page.
