Arp-Dunham announces book launch

Joelle Ré Arp-Dunham, theatre teaching assistant professor in the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, wrote a chapter, "Scaffolding Consent and Intimacy in the Acting Classroom: Bridging the Gap between Learning and Doing," in the recent book "Critical Acting Pedagogy: Intersectional Approaches."
The chapter outlines how consent and intimacy practices can lead to more equitable spaces and empowered actors in our classrooms.
Arp-Dunham is a consent-based director, actor, intimacy choreographer and educator in both theatre and film. In addition to directing more than 50 productions and teaching countless acting classes, she was the founder and producing artistic director of the professional nonprofit Circle Ensemble Theatre Company in Athens, Georgia, for eight years.
