K-State employees show generosity by increasing United Way campaign contributions

Submitted by United Way Campaign Committee

As the K-State Employee United Way Campaign continues through Oct. 31, the spirit of generosity among K-State employees is more vibrant than ever. The ongoing efforts to support local communities and families in need have seen a notable increase in contributions this year, showcasing the commitment of K-State staff and faculty to making a positive impact.

The latest data indicates that $25,000 in campaign contributions have been made. Employees have stepped up to ensure that essential services provided by the United Way remain available for those in need. The campaign not only fosters a sense of community within K-State but also plays a crucial role in addressing local challenges.

As we approach the end of October, the momentum is building, and every contribution counts. Supporting the United Way means investing in initiatives that tackle issues such as education, financial stability and health. By contributing, K-State employees are helping to create lasting change in the community, providing resources to those who need it most.

Employees who make contributions will be entered into drawings for:

  • Paid day off work
  • One-year general faculty or staff parking pass
  • Gift certificate to JP's Sports Bar and Grill
  • Gift certificate to Call Hall Dairy Bar

If you haven't made your contribution, it's not too late! Donations can be easily made through the K-State HRIS portal.

As we continue this campaign, we encourage all K-State employees to consider contributing. Together, we can amplify our impact and help create a brighter future for those in need. Let's continue to show the world what it means to be part of the K-State community — one that cares, shares and supports each other.
