December's Water Wednesday celebrates one year for Kansas Water Institute
K-State faculty, students and staff are invited to celebrate the Kansas Water Institute's one-year anniversary on Dec. 18. The special Water Wednesday event will highlight the institute's achievements and future goals.
The luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hale Library, Room 181. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with other faculty, learn more about Kansas Water Institute, or KWI, programs, funding opportunities and current research, as well as a look ahead at interdisciplinary research at K-State.
"This year, K-State has made huge strides to prioritize support for water research for both our faculty and students," said Susan Metzger, Kansas Water Institute director. "This celebration will give us an opportunity to take stock of KWI's achievements and the exciting programs we've got coming down the pipeline."
Water Wednesdays are designed to foster networking and collaboration among attendees, offering opportunities for teaching, grant proposals and other professional engagements. Participants expand their interdisciplinary network and make meaningful connections between the presented research projects and their own expertise and networks.
Interested individuals are invited to RSVP online. All K-State faculty, staff and students are welcome, but space is limited to the first 60 registrants. A complimentary lunch will be provided.
The Kansas Water Institute hosts Water Wednesday events each month, aiming to facilitate meaningful exchanges and showcase impactful research. The full Water Wednesday schedule is available on the Kansas Water Institute website. To request additional information, contact water@k-state.edu.
