Determine critical criteria for evaluation
What standards would Friends use to evaluate the goals and alternative actions? What criteria are necessary for an alternative (critical criteria)? We use these critical criteria to screen and evaluate alternatives. For example, a Friend might decide that any option would have to be:

Financially possible
Consistent with my self-respect
Something I can do or learn to do
Reasonable in its cost of time and energy
Consistent with personal initiative and creativity
A high probability for achieving my purpose

What are the grimstones (rejection criteria) that would eliminate an option? For example, it must not be harmful.
