Violence
is a form of power
The final level of power is violence, a form of aggression that
hurts another person. Before we are too quick to condemn violence,
we should consider its significance in unusual and dangerous circumstances.
Imagine a mother stopped in her car at a red light while her toddler
sits comfortably in the back seat. A stranger approaches, pulls
open the door, and attempts to carjack her vehicle. Personally,
I could understand why a ferocious, violent response by the mother
could be the only way to save her child. What do you think?
