There are two ways you could use Responsive Discipline with parents struggling with their children. Ideally, they would take the online course and then meet weekly to discuss what they learned and what they wrote in their journals. Alternatively, you could discuss journal topics even if parents were not keeping a journal. Of course, you would have taken the course beforehand. You might find the posters and worksheets useful.
After you become familiar with the course you could introduce key ideas as part of your counseling. You might also be interested in my online course on anger management.
I have many parents who come to the course because they have been mandated to do so by the courts. Since participation is anonymous, I cannot provide any kind of certificate of attendance. See “If the court has told you to take it” link for more information.
