Responsive Discipline is an excellent preparation for early childhood educators. Their setting is very “family-like” and the tools appropriate for younger children would be suitable.
Elementary school teachers are likely to be in a more formal setting with a more elaborate code of conduct and larger groups of children. Although many of the tools appropriate for older children would be relevant to their classroom, Responsive Discipline does not explore group management. If you are an elementary school teacher using Responsive Discipline, I’d love to hear from you.
If you are a parent educator
If you are a counselor
If a court has told you to take it
