The Office of Pre-Law Advising invites the K-State community to celebrate U.S. Constitution Observance Day on Tuesday, Sept. 17, with a series of cases by a panel of the Kansas Court of Appeals.

Chief Judge Arnold-Burger and Judges Green and Buser will hear four cases beginning at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 17 in Forum Hall at the K-State Student Union.

Everyone is welcome to stop by to hear any or all cases — this is a rare opportunity to see our appellate courts at work right here in Manhattan.

The schedule of cases:

  • 9:30 a.m. — City of Manhattan v. Joel W. Laub.
  • 10:15 a.m. — State of Kansas, ex rel. Geary County Sheriff's Department v. $81,957.00 in U.S. Currency, More or Less, Defendant, and (Alexis Milla).
  • 11 a.m. — State of Kansas v. Erika Yazmin Arceo-Rojas.
  • 1:30 p.m. — Dustin Delehanty, William E. Gies Jr., and Junction City Education Association v. Board of Education of Unified School District No. 475, Geary County, Kansas

This event is free and open to the public; no RSVP or preparation is required.
