Discover K-State Lunch and Learn Series presents Saving for Retirement: A New Employee Perspective Sept. 17

Submitted by Human Capital Services

As part of the K-State New Employee Welcome program, Human Capital Services is offering a new Discover K-State Lunch and Learn Series.

Throughout the year, these sessions will be offered to introduce new employees to topics that are important as they begin their new career at Kansas State University. Designed as a brown-bag event — occasionally lunch may be provided — the program will include facility tours where applicable and will be offered in various locations across campus to help new employees learn about the multiple areas and resources available to them as an employee.

The next brownbag lunch event, Saving for Retirement: A New Employee Perspective, will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, in 201 Leadership Studies Building. This session will be presented by VOYA Financial and is for employees who want to learn about starting to save for retirement, different types of retirement savings, and the basics of diversified investing. Register today to attend.

Future sessions include:

  • Legal Landscape, Oct. 10.
  • Saving for Retirement, Nov. 14
  • Saving for Retirement, Jan. 16, 2020
  • Well-being at K-State, Feb. 13, 2020

While the Discover K-State Lunch and Learn Series is targeted toward new K-State employees, any employee may attend. Register today for any these events on the Human Capital Services website
