Academic & Classroom Scheduling

Academic and Classroom Scheduling, a unit within the Office of the Registrar under the Division of Enrollment Management, oversees the production and of the Schedule of Classes. Responsible for the data entry of approved Course Catalog information into KSIS and the University Catalog along with the responsibility for the publication of the Final and Special Exam schedules. 

Every effort is made to ensure that classrooms are assigned fairly, used appropriately, and accomodate the University's academic and instructional needs.  We are committed to providing respectful and quality delivery of services. 

KSIS Scheduling Resources:

• Adding Approved Courses to an Instructor in KSIS
• Change a Room Location in the Facility ID Field
• Guidelines for Determining the Distance Education Components of Courses
• Maintaining Schedule of Classes in KSIS on the Basic Data tab
• Assigning the Section Values for Classes in KSIS
• Understanding Class Associations in KSIS
• Working with Classes Containing Variable Titles
• Facilities Request for Use of University Building and Grounds Form
  • Be aware that this form belongs to Facilities and the timing and requirements are not under the control of the Office of the Registrar.  {refer to PPM 7840} This form needs to be completed and submitted at least one week (7 business days) in advance of the requested activity.  This is to allow for review of any food or beverage needs, possible enagement with risk of compliance documentation, etc... based on the type of activity. 
  • Anything academic in nature (i.e., examinations, guest speakers, etc... will be reviewed by the Office of the Registrar first to determine if the academic activity should be coded in KSIS on the course section level first).  To ensure timely review it is recommended to engage with Academic and Classroom Scheduling at ksuacadscheduling@ksu.edu prior to submitting this form.
