700-plus employees complete performance management training; sessions still available through Dec. 20

Submitted by Human Resources

With 16 training sessions already completed, more than 700 employees have participated in performance management training in person or online, demonstrating a commitment to embracing the university's new performance management system.

Human Resources encourages all staff members who have not yet participated to register for an upcoming session on the Performance Management Training and Resources webpage. If your specific college/administrative unit training session is no longer available, simply register for a virtual general session, which are available through Dec. 20. Your involvement is crucial to help refine the approach and ensure that the new performance management system serves everyone effectively.

The primary goal of the training sessions is to provide a thorough overview of the new performance management process, which will officially take effect in January. Each session is designed to:

  • Introduce the new process: Participants will gain a clear understanding of the changes and improvements that the new process entails.
  • Preview the forms: Attendees will get an early look at the new forms and tools that will be used in the performance management process.
  • Gather feedback: Each session includes time for staff and their supervisors to provide feedback, ensuring that the new process aligns with the needs of our university community.

Human Resources is committed to making the transition to the new system as smooth as possible. By participating in these training sessions, you're contributing to continuous improvement and collaboration. Your feedback will play a vital role in shaping the final implementation of the new system.
