Following a national search, Alexis Bestwick has been appointed the new director of enrollment marketing and communication within the Office of Enrollment Management, effective Nov. 10. Bestwick brings more than five years of progressive experience in marketing and communications within the university's enrollment management and communications departments and has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to supporting the university's enrollment initiatives.

In her new role, Bestwick will oversee the strategic development and implementation of comprehensive marketing and communication initiatives aimed at supporting the university's enrollment objectives with key target audiences. She will collaborate closely with the Office of Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions, Graduate Recruitment, the Office of the Registrar, the Office of Student Financial Assistance, and other campus units to strengthen the university's enrollment goals. As a liaison between the Division of Communications and Marketing and Enrollment Management, Bestwick will ensure cohesive messaging and innovative approaches to outreach and engagement.

"We are thrilled to welcome Alexis to this new leadership role," said Karen Goos, vice provost for enrollment management. "Her proven excellence, creativity, and commitment to advancing strategic communication will be invaluable as we work to amplify our enrollment initiatives."

Bestwick's experience includes her previous role as interim director of enrollment marketing and communications, where she supported the Kansas State College Advising Corps, Recruitment and Admissions, Registrar, and Student Financial Assistance offices. In this capacity, she developed and managed targeted communication strategies across multiple channels, optimized CRM-driven communication flows, and collaborated with college partners to ensure aligned, impactful messaging. Bestwick also led the successful adoption of new digital tools and technologies, such as CRM workflows and enhanced financial aid communications, to improve the student experience.

Her previous roles include communications and marketing manager and specialist within the Office of the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management and the Office of International Programs, where she spearheaded web redesigns, produced multimedia content and supported international student engagement. Bestwick holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in digital art from Kansas State University.
