Yelich Biniecki presented with AAACE award for co-authored book
Susan Yelich Biniecki, professor of adult learning and leadership, received the prestigious Cyril O. Houle Award at the American Association of Adult Learning and Continuing Education's recent national conference in Reno, Nevada.
Yelich Biniecki received the award for the second edition of the book she co-authored titled "Organization and Administration of Adult Education Programs: A Guide for Practitioners."
"Steve Schmidt and I were honored to receive this recognition," Yelich Biniecki said. "It is rewarding to see the impact the work is having in diverse adult education sectors, including higher education, corporate, and nonprofit settings."
The Cyril O. Houle Award was established in 1981 to honor the scholarship and memory of Cyril O. Houle, professor of adult education at the University of Chicago. It is given annually by the association for a book published in English in the previous year that reflects the universal concerns of adult educators. Nominated works should exemplify outstanding literature in adult education.
