Campus Master Plan: View the preliminary plan Feb. 11

Submitted by Division of Facilities

Come explore the future of K-State! A Campus Master Plan town hall will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, in the Banquet Room of the K-State Alumni Center. This is your final chance to provide input and review specific plan elements before the draft plan is finalized later this spring.

The town hall will include a presentation of the preliminary Campus Master Plan and give you an opportunity to view diagrams, frameworks and models of the proposed ideas. Team members will be present to discuss the various concepts and gather your feedback before the Campus Master Plan is finalized later this year.

A 20-minute presentation of the preliminary plan will begin at 5:15 p.m., followed by a Q&A. Those attending in person can enjoy light refreshments and appetizers while viewing the town hall materials and providing feedback.

If you cannot attend in person, you can view the recording and provide your feedback on the Campus Master Plan website.

Details of the preliminary plan also will be shared with leaders from the Salina and Olathe campuses at a future date.

Work on the Campus Master Plan began in November 2023. The planning process has been approached thoughtfully, with numerous steps taken along the way. The team has spent several months engaging with students, faculty, staff, department heads and special committees to understand the current and future needs of all three campuses.

The final plan will serve as a blueprint for transforming physical spaces and addressing the needs of our growing university. It will encompass various aspects, including space use, transportation, utilities, building conditions, accessibility, security and student experience, in support of the Next-Gen K-State strategic plan and the university's goals to invest in modern infrastructure that attracts talent and enables cutting-edge research.
