Geography Colloquium Friday examines use of techniques to date Earth surface processes

Joel Q.G. Spencer, assistant professor in the geology department at Kansas State University, will give a public lecture at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, in 132 Seaton Hall.

Spencer's talk is "Timing of Earth Surface Processes Using Luminescence Dating: Technique Developments, Big Faults, Megalakes and Early Pastoralism."

His presentation is sponsored by the Beta Psi chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon, the international geographic honor society and the geography department.
