Recent presentations and publications by K-State Libraries faculty and staff
Two K-State librarians presented at the Electronic Resouces & Libraries conference in Austin, Texas, April 2-4. Mary Bailey, continuing resources librarian, was a panelist at on the topic: "All you can ERMS: Laying Out the Buffet of eResource Management Systems." Jamene Brooks-Kieffer, resource linking librarian, and colleague presented "Working remotely: Two perspectives on telecommuting."
Joelle Pitts, instructional design librarian, was an invited panelist at the Colleague 2 Colleague Spring Symposium: The A's Have It Assessment, Analytics, Applications, and Academic Honesty. She covered free tools like Google phrase searching as well as library tools like deep-indexed databases and web-scale discovery tools in order to catch plagiarism at its source.
Char Simser, library data coordinator, and colleagues published "Through the Gateway: Reporting on Collections." in the latest edition of Serials Librarian.
