Sensory Analysis Center director selected to chair group developing standards for international organization
Edgar Chambers IV, distinguished professor and director of the Sensory Analysis Center, has been selected to chair the group that will develop a set of standards for the International Standards Organization’s Technical Committee on Sensory and Consumer Evaluation. The group met recently in Toulouse, France.
Chambers will lead development of an international standard for advertising claims substantiation based on sensory and consumer data. His group represents more than 50 countries around the world.
The center, which has satellite locations at K-State Olathe and in Bangkok, Thailand, is part of the department of human nutrition in the College of Human Ecology.
