New Faculty Institute luncheon on Nov. 29
"Research at K-State" will be the theme of the New Faculty Institute luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, in the Cottonwood Room of the K-State Student Union. This luncheon will feature speakers Peter Dorhout, vice president for research; Chris Brandt, president/CEO of the Research Foundation; and Beth Montelone, senior associate vice president for research and sponsored programs.
The New Faculty Institute is a universitywide program to introduce newly hired faculty to K-State's missions of teaching, research and service, and to facilitate their success at the university. The New Faculty Institute will offer information and networking. The institute facilitates the transition of newly hired faculty members into the K-State academic environment by providing information and tools that can help them become successful as educators and researchers at the university. Each month, the institute offers social luncheons filled with information, socializing and food.
