Grice and Hudgins collaborate on diversity and inclusion presentations

Submitted by Division of Communications and Marketing

Cheryl D. Grice, director of strategic relations in the Division of Communications and Marketing, and Pat Hudgins, associate director of the Career Center, presented at the Kansas chapter of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources, or CUPA-HR, annual conference, Nov. 9, at Kansas State University. The theme of this year's conference was "Are You Inclusive?"

Grice and Hudgins' presentation, "Diversity Awareness and Inclusion Practices in Higher Ed," was an engaging, interactive discussion on best practices. The session provided an opportunity to uncover and discuss unconscious bias in a safe environment, while continuing the conversations of what human resource professionals and university leaders can do to improve campus climates.
