Hoffman receives 2020 K-State Global Campus Outstanding Advisor award
Courtney Hoffman, academic advisor for K-State Polytechnic, has been selected as the recipient of the 2020 K-State Global Campus Outstanding Advisor award.
The outstanding advisor award is given to a faculty or staff member who has demonstrated exceptional efforts in assisting and advising online education students.
In the materials submitted for Hoffman's nomination, it was noted that, "First and foremost, Courtney is a champion for her advisees. Student success is always at the front of her mind. Courtney advocates for her students and ensures that they are supported in achieving their goals. During planning meetings, working with instructors, or when exploring process improvements, Courtney always asks how this will impact students and if it is in their best interest. She can always be counted on to be the voice for the students."
"Online students rely heavily on quality academic advising for success in their programs," said Karen Pedersen, dean of K-State Global Campus. "Global Campus is proud to honor Courtney's outstanding focus on student success and her genuine care through this award."
