Gardiner Global Food Systems Lecture canceled for 2020

Submitted by Pat Melgares

The Henry C. Gardiner Global Food Systems Lecture, normally held in mid-October, has been canceled this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The event has been held each year since 2015 to provide science-based education about global food issues. The series allows faculty, staff, students and the general public to interact with U.S. and international food industry leaders.

Past speakers include top officials from Monsanto, Cargill, Gro Intelligence, National Geographic and the World Wildlife Fund.

Organizers say the series is expected to resume in October 2021. Learn more about the series and view past lectures.
