Advisor Forum presents October Charlie Award
The K-State Advisor Forum announces Rachel Levitt, assistant professor of gender, women, and sexuality studies, as the recipient of the October Charlie Award.
Levitt was nominated for this award because of the support given to students and the willingness to go the extra mile to help students.
Levitt helps students to get the most out of their education and take advantage of all that K-State has to offer. The nominator writes, "Dr. Levitt helps their students get more than just the classes they need for their GWSS degree but also suggests classes in other disciplines that they believes the students will not only enjoy, and learn a lot from, but will also meet their university requirements. Dr. Levitt takes the time to get to know their students so that they can help them take advantage of all that K-State has to offer. Dr. Levitt is willing and ready to assist any K-State student with anything they need be it advising or support on a tough day. Their door is always open and the students know it. Not an office hour goes by without a student in their office and one waiting in the wings."
The nominator adds, "Dr. Levitt is a great asset to the department of gender, women, and sexuality studies and to the College of Arts and Science because they don't see themselves as just a professor in a department, they see themselves as teacher to the next great generations at a great university."
The K-State Advisor Forum thanks Levitt for the work done for students and congratulates the professor on this award.
