Center for Financial Analysis launches in College of Business Administration
The College of Business Administration and the finance department announce the launch of the Center for Financial Analysis, which will be supported by the finance department.
The Center for Financial Analysis will work to create additional career opportunities for finance students and manage the Financial Analyst Track, which is a selective program for top students to focus on investment banking, asset management and the buy-side of financial analysis. Students who participate in the Financial Analyst Track program will have the opportunity to attend high-value speaker events, alumni networking in target industries, trips to various financial centers across the country, finance conference participation and resources to better prepare for post-college careers. The Center for Financial Analysis will also house a graduate degree in finance when it launches in the future.
Sabuhi Sardarli has been appointed the director of the Center for Financial Analysis. Sardarli has been part of the finance department since 2013. He holds a doctorate in finance from the University of Florida and a Master of Business Administration focused in finance from the University of Missouri. His research interests include empirical corporate finance, mutual funds, investments and retirement savings plans.
"I am very grateful for the wonderful support of our alumni," said Ansley Chua, head of the finance department. "With their support and Dr. Sardarli's leadership, the center will continue to build on our mission of maximizing our students' career opportunities."
The College of Business Administration and the finance department look forward to the future opportunities the Center for Financial Analysis will provide for students and the work Sardarli is doing to continue the center's growth.
