Strengths Advocates sponsors student body presidential and vice presidential debate

Submitted by Mackenzie Mong

Strengths' Advocates mission is to increase students' well-being, knowledge, and retention through the understanding and application of their Top Five Strengths. As part of Kansas State University's 2025 plan, it is essential that our campus leaders support this forward progression through their values and actions.

Strengths' Advocates will host its first Strengths Presidential and Vice Presidential Debate on Thursday, Feb. 28, featuring the teams elected through the student body primary elections. It will take place in the Union courtyard. Seating will start at 5:30 p.m., the actual debate will be from 5:45-6:45 p.m.

Participating candidates will answer individual and team questions pertaining to themselves, their running mates, campaign teams and platforms, as well as the importance of the strengths initiative on campus. Audience members will also have a chance to show teams their support through an online text-to-vote mechanism, Poll Everywhere.
