Back to the Future: K-State Book Network 2013 book to launch March 5
Come back to the future and join the K-State Book Network for a preview of the book that you helped select.
On Tuesday, March 5, the K-State Book Network will sponsor a book launch in honor of the 2013 book selection, Ernest Cline’s novel "Ready Player One." The launch will be from 11-11:30 a.m. in the K-State Student Union courtyard.
Following brief remarks by K-State Book Network co-chair Stephen Kiefer and Provost April Mason, the K-State Book Network committee will present awards to students and faculty to recognize their inclusion of Rebecca Skloot’s "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" in fall 2012 classes. Tara Coleman, K-State Book Network co-chair, and student representatives will then introduce the 2013 K-State Book Network selection to the campus community.
Faculty, staff and students are invited to enjoy classic arcade games and refreshments throughout the launch. The launch will conclude with a free raffle drawing for copies of Cline’s book for those in attendance.
