National Science Foundation CAREER program information session March 7
The office of research and sponsored programs will host a National Science Foundation CAREER program information session at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 7. The location of the session will be provided after registation has been completed.
The CAREER program provides the Nation Science Foundation's most prestigious awards in support of junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher scholars. These awards can be a key building block in developing a faculty member's career.
This information session will not only give you an overview of the CAREER program, but you will hear from six K-State CAREER awardees on what this award has meant to them and their careers. This session is oriented toward tenure-track faculty members who have not yet been promoted to associate professor. Awardees presenting at the session include Zhijian Pei, Dan Andresen, Sanjay Rebello, Anna Whitfield, Christine Aikens and Vikas Berry. The agenda is available at http://www.ksu.edu/research/resources/calendar.
If you are interested in attending this session, please register by emailing your name, department and any questions to orsp@k-state.edu. At that point, you will receive the location of the session.
