Fraternity and Sorority Life personnel updates
The Fraternity and Sorority Life Office announces a new staff hire, Margaret Tippie, and staff promotion, Alexandria Wilson. Tippie has been hired as an assistant director, and Wilson has been promoted to an assistant director.
Trading in one purple for another, Tippie will come to Kansas State from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. Tippie will begin her work in the Fraternity and Sorority Life office on June 10.
Tippie recently completed her graduate program in public administration in May 2024 and her Bachelor of Science, political science, May 2021, at Tarleton. Most recently, Tippie has served as the campus prevention graduate assistant within the dean of students administrative office. Tippie has been the point person for the university's involvement in StopHazing's Hazing Prevention Consortium. Her proactive approach has led to significant advancements in campuswide prevention programming for issues such as domestic violence, sexual assault, drug and alcohol abuse and hazing.
Tippie is a driven and compassionate leader who is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and engaged university community. Her educational background, combined with her involvement and leadership experience, make her an exciting addition to the K-State FSL team. She is a proud member of Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority, initiating in the Gamma Sigma chapter at Tarleton State University.
Wilson served as a longtime K-State student leader and a Fraternity and Sorority Life graduate assistant, and she spent a year as the interim coordinator in the Fraternity and Sorority Life office.
Wilson's deep commitment to the K-State community is unmatched, and we are thrilled to continue to enjoy her thoughtful guidance and leadership well into the future. Wilson will graduate May 2024 with a graduate degree in counseling and student development and a certificate in social justice education. She completed her bachelor's degree in strategic communication from K-State in May 2022. Wilson is a proud member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, initiating in the Beta Upsilon chapter at Kansas State University.
