Chapman Center to host meet and greet for College of Arts and Sciences engagement
The Chapman Center for Rural Studies invites College of Arts and Sciences faculty interested in engagement and outreach to a social event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, in 110 Leasure Hall. Learn more about the resources in the Office of Engagement and the Chapman Center and plan the future of engagement at K-State.
This is an opportunity for faculty and staff from the College of Arts and Sciences to build connections and strategize about how to support and grow engagement efforts at K-State. The event will also celebrate the eight recipients of the Integrating Engagement Across All We Do grant who were awarded a total of $32,000 in funding in July 2024. Sandwiches, coffee and tea will be provided.
The Chapman Center, with support from the K-State Office of Engagement and the College of Arts and Sciences, encourages scholarly engagement, supporting efforts through funding opportunities to build impactful connections with communities through RSCAD, teaching and service. In addition to grant opportunities, the Chapman Center offers support for engagement through facilities and resources including: classroom and library space, recording equipment, lighting, cameras and scanning equipment, as well as media and design support.
The Chapman Center is an award-winning center for public engagement. As a center of excellence in the College of Arts and Sciences, the center supports the Next-Gen K-State strategic plan by integrating engagement across all we do, providing applied learning experiences for K-State students, growing interdisciplinary research and being a positive force for Kansans.
