Kimball Avenue to reopen at Denison Avenue intersection Aug. 26

Kimball Avenue will be open to east-west traffic at the intersection with Denison Avenue starting Monday, Aug. 26. However, until the new traffic signal is installed, no left turns onto Denison Avenue will be allowed. Only right turns onto Denison Avenue will be permitted for southbound traffic from Kimball Avenue. Traffic on Kimball Avenue will not stop.
Additionally, Denison Avenue will be closed south of Kimball Avenue through summer 2025. Currently, it's closed from Kimball Avenue to the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility entrance, and this closure will gradually move south along Denison Avenue as work progresses away from the intersection.
If you need to access Kimball Avenue to the west of the Denison Avenue intersection, southbound traffic should continue to use the detour from Claflin Road to College Avenue.
