The University Committee on Religious, Spirituality and Nonreligious Diversity presents the global observance information for Sept. 9 to Sept. 15. 

Ghambar Paitishem — Thursday, Sept. 12, through Monday, Sept. 16. Tradition: Zoroastrianism. Celebrates the creation of plants, the sowing of the winter crop and the return of herds from pasture. 

Mawlid an-Nabi — Sunday, Sept. 15. Tradition: Islam. The birthday of the Prophet Muhammed. Begins at sundown.

The University Committee on Religious, Spiritual and Nonreligious Diversity offers these weekly announcements in partial fulfillment of its mandate to ensure that K-Staters of all religious, spiritual and nonreligious backgrounds are seen as valued members of our community.
