Marcellus Caldas named to scientific steering committee of Global Land Programme
Marcellus Caldas, professor of geography and geospatial sciences, has been selected to serve on the scientific steering committee of the Global Land Programme.
The Global Land Programme is an interdisciplinary and international community of scientists that fosters the study of land systems and the co-design of solutions for global sustainability. The committee contributes to the implementation of research to advance sustainability transformations.
Caldas is an economic-environmental geographer who studies land systems, and specifically the interactions of social, economic and environmental processes. He will serve for three years.
