Following an extensive search, Victoria Feldkamp will join the K-State Risk Management Center, or RMC, on Feb. 2 as a program manager. The center teaches risk management concepts in an interdisciplinary environment that brings together students and industry. Its hallmark program is the Risk Management Fellows experience, which reaches more than 60 students each year.

Feldkamp will provide student-fellow mentoring support; co-coordinate many of the center's on- and off-campus programs; lead collaborative communication with the student-fellows, industry partners and other stakeholders; recruit students to the fellows program; and serve as the center's primary point of contact.

"It's exciting to have Victoria join the K-State Risk Management Center," said Joe Parcell, center director and agricultural economics professor. "The breadth of her educational degrees, prior experience working with students and knowledge of the K-State campus assure the RMC will grow its number of student-fellows, operate efficiently as a transdisciplinary center, and effectively work with partners and stakeholders."

Feldkamp earned a bachelor's degree in health and behavioral sciences and a master's degree in business administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and she began her career in higher education a decade ago. In her prior roles, including positions at K-State, Feldkamp worked toward meeting organizational goals and fostering collaborative environments, and she will apply these experiences to her work with the Risk Management Center.

"My background on campus includes working closely with diverse stakeholders — including faculty, administration, students and external stakeholders — to cultivate meaningful relationships that enhance communication and drive project success," Feldkamp said. "I am passionate about creating partnerships that empower individuals and institutions to thrive together, and I am committed to leveraging my experience to support a culture of collaboration and innovation in every project I undertake."

You can reach Feldkamp at vfeldkamp@k-state.edu. Her office will be in Room 4006 of the Business Building.

The search committee members were Wendy Pfeiffer, director of corporate engagement in the College of Business Administration; Alice Roach, research associate with the Risk Management Center; and Parcell.
