Economics Club hosting discussion on trade restrictions in the COVID-19 era
The Economics Club, a registered departmental student organization, will host Bryan Riley, director of the National Taxpayer's Union Free Trade Initiative, on Tuesday, March 2, in this Zoom Room.
The subject of Riley's talk will be "A Case Against Trade Restrictions in the Era of COVID-19."
Riley has been quoted in publications, including The Washington Post, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. He is also an in-demand speaker who travels the country explaining the benefits international trade and investment bring to Americans.
Riley grew up in Manhattan. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Kansas State University and a master's degree in economics from the University of Southern California.
The formal business meeting for the club will start at 6:40 p.m. with Riley's talk starting at 7 p.m. We have limited in-person seating available in 231 Waters Hall for this meeting.
