Shireen Roshanravan co-edits '#WeToo' in special issue of Journal of Asian American Studies

Submitted by Alisa Wolfe

Shireen Roshanravan, associate professor of American ethnic studies, has co-edited "#WeToo: A Reader," a special issue of the Journal of Asian American Studies.

"#WeToo" is a collection of essays, poems, creative nonfiction and experimental works published both in the Journal of Asian American Studies and in part on The Margins, the Asian American Writers' Workshop digital magazine. Together, this body of work provides language and theory for lived experiences of sexual violence in what is usually dismissed as privileged, unafflicted model-minority life. The #WeToo collection is edited by erin Khuê Ninh and Roshanravan.

Accompanying the series on The Margins is artwork by Catalina Ouyang.
