Cats' Cupboard seeks advisory board members
The Cats' Cupboard advisory board application period is now open.
The American College Health Association National College Health Assessment, conducted at Kansas State University in spring 2024, surveyed 1,304 K-State students and found 43 percent or 562 of those students reported low to very low food security, meaning they have limited or uncertain access to adequate food (KSU ACHA-NCHA, Spring 2024). Cats' Cupboard: The K-State Food Pantry provides K-Staters with access to food and support through initiatives that promote health, success, well-being and a food secure future.
Cats' Cupboard seeks individuals with passion and capacity to advise, assist, support and advocate for programs and initiatives to promote food security on the K-State campus. The advisory board meets three times a year — in person preferred, virtual by request only — and includes K-State students, faculty and staff and area community members. Members are strongly encouraged to attend each meeting and member terms are three years.
Applications are being accepted through Jan. 1, 2025.
