Community engagement workshop: Opportunity for feedback on reimagining downtown

Submitted by Hayden Cahill

Graduate architecture students will host their final community workshop from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, to explore and reimagine the future of Downtown Manhattan's Poyntz Avenue Corridor — Juliette Avenue to MLK Jr. Drive along Poyntz Avenue.

The design workshops will be held at Parkside Station and Flight Crew Coffee, inviting residents, business owners, downtown patrons, Manhattan residents, and K-State students, faculty and staff to share their unique insights on future planning and development efforts.

All are encouraged to come and participate in student-led activities and give their opinions. No preparation is needed.

This workshop and student project is a partnership of APDesign's ARCH715-H Praxis of Community Engagement course and the city of Manhattan. Contact Professor Gabby Coleman at gkc@k-state.edu or John Verssue at jverssue@k-state.edu with questions.
