Goins presents quintet performance at Purple Masque Theatre

Wayne Goins, university distinguished professor of music and director of jazz studies, presented a faculty jazz concert featuring guest artists Jan. 25 at the Purple Masque Theatre.
Guest artists of Dr. G. & Friends of Jazz included pianist Charles Williams, bassist Steve Rigazzi, vocalist Susan Hancock and Robert Rodriguez on drums. Tickets for future jazz events are available at the MTD box office.
Goins has performed with such greats as legendary guitarist Kenny Burrell, alto saxophonist Bobby Watson, trumpeter Clark Terry, tenor saxophonist Joe Lovano, organist Jimmy McGriff and many others. Learn more.
