Institute for Digital Agriculture and Advanced Analytics launches affiliate program
The Institute for Digital Agriculture and Advanced Analytics, or ID3A, has launched its affiliate program to foster collaboration across K-State's campuses, colleges and departments. The interdisciplinary institute, established under the Next-Gen K-State strategic plan, connects faculty and researchers focused on solving complex food, water, energy and environmental challenges through robotics, automation, computer vision, machine learning, remote sensing and data analytics.
"ID3A affiliates gain immediate access to a collaborative network, programmatic support and educational opportunities that accelerate technology innovation and adoption," said Brian McCornack, entomology department head and ID3A co-director for engagement. "Ultimately, it's about making meaningful connections across K-State to enhance interactions with external partners."
Additional universitywide engagement opportunities will be announced in the coming months.
"The ID3A affiliate program expands opportunities for innovation and collaboration," said Susan Metzger, director of strategic interdisciplinary programs and ID3A co-director for engagement. "These initiatives will build a community of affiliates addressing future food and agricultural challenges through research, teaching and engagement."
