W-2 forms available through State of Kansas Employee Self Service
The 2024 W-2 forms are now available through the State of Kansas Employee Self Service. Employees who previously consented to receive their W-2 electronically may now access their forms. View the instructions from the Division of Financial Services Payroll website for information about logging in, viewing and printing W-2s.
Employees who have not yet consented to receive their W-2 information electronically through the State of Kansas Employee Self Service may still do so by following the instructions provided in the link above. Employees only consent once, and the consent remains in effect until it is withdrawn or upon retirement, termination or death. The W-2 form — and up to five years of prior W-2 forms — will be available immediately in State of Kansas Employee Self Service once the consent is completed.
First-time users of the state website must call the State of Kansas Help Desk at 1-866-999-3001 to request access. A representative will provide a temporary password and remain on the line while employees sign in and update their credentials.
New for 2024: Foreign national employees can now consent to receive their 1042-S forms electronically. Information specific to form 1042-S, including electronic consent instructions, can be found on the DFS Payroll website.
Employees who do not elect to receive their tax forms electronically can expect W-2 paper forms to be mailed to the address on file in HRIS on or before Jan. 31, 2025. Foreign national employees can expect 1042-S paper forms to be mailed to the address on file in HRIS on or before March 17, 2025.
