Navigating change together: Employee Assistance Program group sessions now available

Submitted by Human Resources

In times of change, it’s natural to experience a range of emotions, sometimes including frustration, anxiety, fear and distress. Recent developments associated with the federal transition have left some individuals feeling uncertain, and we recognize the impact this can have on both personal well-being and workplace engagement.

To support our staff, faculty and graduate students, Human Resources is offering virtual Employee Assistance Program, or EAP, group sessions during spring break to address ways to process these changes and develop healthy coping strategies. These confidential sessions will be facilitated by our trusted EAP partner, Tanisha Harrell, and will provide a safe, judgment-free space for open discussion, guidance and support.

Harrell is a national certified counselor. She supports organizations through sensitive circumstances and with concerns related to subjects like mental health and substance. She has a master’s degree in counseling and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Prairie View A&M University.

Staff sessions:

  • 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 18

  • 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 19

Faculty session:

  • 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 19

Graduate student session:

  • 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 18

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or simply want to talk through your experiences in a supportive setting, we encourage you to register for a session. Together, we can navigate this evolving landscape and find strategies for resilience and balance.

Your well-being matters. Let’s move forward together.
