Advisor Forum presents March Charlie Award
Amanda Reichenberger, academic advisor in the Pre-Professional and Exploratory Advising Center, has been selected for the March Charlie Award.
Amanda was nominated for this award by Taylor Gnagi, Olivia Miller, Bryanna Williams and Sherryl Allen for her exceptional care and attention to students.
Taylor wrote, “Amanda is a diligent and caring advisor. When students experience barriers to enrolling and succeeding here at K-State, Amanda works tirelessly to advocate for the student and problem-solve. Amanda is known to spend whatever time is necessary in appointments with her students so they feel seen and heard and have a plan moving forward when they leave her office. She cares deeply about providing an excellent advising experience for her students!”
Olivia added, “Amanda has been a pillar of support and leadership as I began working with Exploratory Studies this spring. From assisting with Navigate campaigns to curriculum questions and leading program change processes, Amanda has met and exceeded the spirit of the Charlie Award. My transition to K-State has been made easier because of her and I greatly appreciate her dedication to all our students – whether they are visiting campus for the first time, an incoming freshman, or students transitioning into Exploratory Studies.”
Her third nominator, Bryanna, added, “Amanda consistently demonstrates exceptional adaptability, advocacy and compassion in her work with students. In a constantly changing academic environment, Amanda remains adaptable, always finding innovative ways to support students. Whether it’s navigating complex course requirements or creating inclusive programming, Amanda goes above and beyond to represent students' needs. What truly sets Amanda apart is her deep compassion for each student. She takes the time to listen, understand and provide personalized guidance for every student she works with.”
Sherryl wrote, “Amanda is a great teammate, as well. She is helpful and supportive and will volunteer to assist other members of our team whenever she can.”
